Raised on a farm in Fenton, LA, Joe grew up in the agricultural community and quickly developed a passion for the care and training of livestock, especially horses. Joe attended McNeese State University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Reproductive Physiology. As a student of MSU, Joe competed in team roping and steer wrestling on the collegiate level and met his wife to be, Lucy Fenton. After college Joe worked on Greenland and Chico Basin Ranch in Colorado before moving to GA to welcome the birth of his first child, Sierra. Following the move to Georgia, Joe started his own cattle herd and later gave rise to Trails End Equine Transportation.
Born in South Georgia, Lucy, much like Joe, was brought up on a farm. As she grew so did her affinity for horses. Lucy began to compete locally in rodeos and was later awarded a rodeo scholarship for barrel racing from McNeese State University. It was attending college at MSU that Lucy met her husband Joe while they both competed in the same rodeo circuits. Upon marrying Joe, Lucy moved with him to CO and worked for the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs. With the birth of their first child on the way, Joe and Lucy moved back to Georgia where she later grew a family of 2 girls (Sierra and Shawnee) and 2 boys (Colt and Dakota). While raising her family Lucy noticed a shortage of quality horse transportation and decided to create Trails End Equine Transportation to bridge the gap between horse transportation and quality service.
